It goes without saying that any movie such as Death Spa, about a haunted spa of death, must be great! Awesome cover! The best movie covers are paintings like this, screw the Photoshop regurgitations of modern day cheap horror flicks! DWI has yet to actually watch this film, it is on the to good to watch while there is so much other shit to go through shelf. Something like this must be watched at a special time obviously. Oh yes, apparently the creators of the legendary Faces of Death were involved in the making of this film.
Death Spa- ? (I'm sure it will receive five stars when I watch it!)
The Pit is a great movie with a great cover. An autistic boy dumps the people he hates into a pit full of monsters, excellent idea!
The Pit *****

Spookies is one of the best horror films for old-school latex special effects. Why this film is not better know, is unknown. There are a lot of evil monsters in this creation as one might guess by the cover. Winner of the 1986 Delirium Award it says on the box, the film definitely deserves some prizes. The story is, dumb kids go to an old mansion where an evil sorcerer conjures up monsters to kill them so he can revive his dead bride, good stuff!
Spookies- *****
The Shout is about a scream so horrible it kills anyone who hears it! Swell! Haven't watched this one yet either.
The Shout- ?

Mortuary is a classic 80s slasher bit, one of Bill Paxton's earlier appearances I have seen.
The Mutilator is obviously yet another 80s slasher, and yes, someone does get it by that hook.
The Mutilator- ***

Don't Look in the Basement is one of the best films ever made, period. There is only one person who is sane in the entire film! A young nurse takes a job at a mental institution in the middle of nowhere, and before long she is the only one left who is not a patient. People who like really weird films, crazy folks, and horror, have got to witness this masterpiece of low-budget cinema! Beware of the little men in the woods!
Don't Look in the Basement- ***** (golden stars that is! DWI top 10 films ever!)
Forever Evil has some decent gore for its super low-budgetness. An immortal is trying to bring an evil god back from banishment through murdering innocent people, there is a zombie and some blood. I like the quality box.
Forever Evil-**

City of Blood is an English film from the 80s with one of the best dark and abrupt ends ever. The movie takes place in a city somewhere in Africa, and it chronicles a detective's struggle to solve murders committed with a spiked club.
City of Blood- ** (end of film *****)
The Alchemist has a nice cover. I watched this film twice, but drank a little too much both times, I remember liking it, but not mush else, guess I'll have to watch it again! I believe it has good old days latex effects.
The Alchemist- ?

Prophecy has very good monster special effects of John Carpenter's The Thing quality. A bigger budget than most the films I have up here, Prophecy tells the story of a mutant bear that kills people in a mountain resort.
Project Metalbeast DNA Overload is another bad werewolf movie. "A highly secretive DNA experiment to create the ultimate warrior, creates the ultimate nightmare," is all the back of the box tells you about the movie. I think that is the shortest movie description I have ever seen.
Project Metal Beast DNA Overload- *

Mother's Day is another Texas Chainsaw Massacre Wanna be flick. The movie is supposedly a comedy, how it is any more funny the TCM is beyond me though.
Mother's Day-***
Psychic Killer is a decent show about a man who is wrongly imprisoned, and then is given psychic powers by a fellow jail mate, so he can exact revenge upon those who wronged him.
Psychic Killer-***

Top notch cheesy cover on Mania there, a b/w film which has decent acting, since it features Donald Pleasance and Peter Cushing, men high on DWI's list of best actors ever. Cushing is a doctor who needs dead bodies for teaching, Pleasance is a man who acquires the bodies for him by less than legal means. It is not a gore fest at all, it will not, "rip your mind apart."
Invitation To Hell is one of Wes Craven's earliest films, I never heard of it until I found this copy for sale. A computer programmer moves to Silicon Valley. He soon discovers that the people there worship the devil. Yet another film on my to watch someday list.
Invitation to Hell-?

The Teacher, I thought the teacher was the guy with the knife until I read the back of the box. Apparently the teacher is the chick and she seduces her prize pupil and makes a crazy kid jealous (the guy with the knife), and then bad crap happens. Great! I mostly picked this out for the excellent expression on the guy with the knifes face! Watched it yet? Nope.
The Teacher-?
Psychomania was included because the world needs to know to never watch this movie! Undead bikers thumb their noses at each other and make silly faces while causing some bad things to happen. I believe this is mostly supposed to be a comedy, but it is such a piece of shit it is hard to tell if it is or not. The secret to returning from the dead? You just have to really believe you will, great concept. Seriously DO NOT! watch this, it is so bad, it is super-ultra-poop-crap-shit.
Psychomania- negative one million stars
